Follow Me Around Maldives, Male!

I went to Male, Maldives on December 2012. We flew there via Singapore Airlines from Singapore to Sri Lanka. Maldives is situated in Sri Lanka, a Muslim country in Asia. As we landed at the airport, we purchased our resort package there. We got the Christmas Gala Package for Two situated at Thulhagiri Island for about 3 thousand bucks. We took a speed boat there. I am surprised that everything purchased in the island is in USD. We had the option to stay in the resort which stands in the sea or on land. I chose the later because the waves were making so much noise at night that i had trouble sleeping. I am sensitive to sound while sleeping. We stayed there for a week. I figured it was too much as we literally did nothing on the island. Just relaxing, go to the beach and eat. You have to wake up early and be on time for the snorkeling trip. They held various free activities. The buffet spread is very similar to typical Singapore food. Not fancy enough for me. There's mainly Indians working in the island. Funny enough, they had an Indian Santa Claus walking at the beach playing Indian drum beats. The beach was spectacular and beautiful. Breath-taking indeed. Even just snorkeling near the shore, you can see many beautiful fishes and sea creatures. The water is so clear and blue. The sandy beaches was soft and fine. We had a relaxing massage at the Coconut Spa. We left the island a little bit early so that we could do some shopping in the city. We bought some souvenirs and had a lovely Singaporean Asian dinner there. We had a lovely trip and indeed a once a lifetime experience. It is a perfect honeymoon destination. They called it Maldives, "The Art of Doing Nothing".
